I’m sure 99% of you out there don’t know what the Saddle Ranch is. It’s a disgusting place on the Sunset Strip where you may take a friend who’s in town from Tampa or something. It’s “Western themed”. You can ride a mechanical bull and drink $14 dollar rum and cokes. Unless you were previously on a Bunim/Murray reality TV show, there is nothing more humiliating than living in Los Angeles and actually going to the Saddle Ranch. In fact, the only thing more humiliating than eating at the Saddle Ranch may be previously being on a Bunim/Murray reality TV show.
I’m not saying this to be mean. I just think everyone needs to know that the exact opposite of “chic” is the Saddle Ranch. It’s actually the trashiest place in LA I can think of, and that includes Jumbo’s Clown Room (a topless bar/strip club hybrid).

So remember when Boneskis got Bronchitis and that dude bought her some expensive shoes and a dress or something? Well, the other day I wrote on my real blog about how I was sad about something or another (boys, yay!) and I have some pretty loyal readers over there and one of them went so far as to send me 20 blue Xanax wrapped up in a t-shirt she had laying around the house… Brand new with the tags still on it, too! It said “More Cowbell” on the front and was a men’s extra large.

Well, ya know… that’s not really my steez, as we say in the biz. I know I wasn’t even supposed to care about the shirt, that it was really just a nesting place for my 20mg friends, but that’s not my steez either… so I made a dress…

Wagandstuff and I just got back from LAX.

I didn’t take pictures of my outfits, but I bought a bunch of new clothes at my mom’s consignment shop, Second Time Around in Needham, MA. Yeah, she runs the place, so I’m partial but it’s actually been a long time favorite of mine. I always find something unique there. (For examps, this time I was out, I got a bright green purse that’s made to look like a watering can. It’s absolutely hysterical. I didn’t have enough room in my bag, so momski’s mailing it out to me— I can’t wait to post pictures.) There was a Nanette Lepore dress I was obsessed with but resisted purchasing— if you live in the area and wear anything between a 2 and a 6, get your butt down there and buy it.

Other things I picked up: a DVF skirt, a vintage lime green cardigan, and several pairs of brightly colored, never been worn, originally-dyed-to-match-only-God-knows-what flats and sandals. Pink, purple, teal… They are horrendous and amazing at the same time and I can’t wait to make every single last person I know question my vision/sanity when I wear them.

Regularly scheduled blogging resumes tomorrow.

You’re not mistaking yourselves, that is indeed the worst Photoshop project ever. Maybe I should stay away from the internet.

I was thinking about the buddy cop genre in relation to tumblr. Who would be the Crockett and Tubbs, the Tango and Cash, the Chan and Tucker (oh man) of the tumblr world? I have at least three or four favorite duos on this space. And they all have something that none of the buddy cop movies that I’ve seen have: boobs.

I apologize profusely for the terrible photoshop job, but here’s Kendall and Molly. Everybody probably met Molly yesterday and learned that Mary Rambin does hate what she wore, but they both have rad tumblrs: here and there. They post videos of whatever they feel like talking about, and sometimes engage in karate (well at least Molly does). The only thing missing from this buddy cop duo is the actual crime fighting, but otherwise, good job.

There are others, surely, but the bottom line is, the ladies of tumblr are setting it off. Like rocket ships. Dudes gotta step up their game, not as a matter of any sort of competition, ladies. We just gotta do it, and do it right.
